This time of the year seems to be the time of the universal holiday, it seems most religions and even some non-religions have holidays around this time of year.

Yule is considered they time the Sun King is born and it also the time of year that the Oak King and the Holly King fight to rule for the next six months. Most of the traditions of Christmas come from the different pagan celebrations form this time of the year. I have heard Pagan say they didn’t think we should use so many Christian things for celebrating Yule, but we don’t use any - they are the ones using the Pagan traditions.
